We still needed towels, and went into Fertilia to get a bus into Alghero
and buy the ones we'd seen yesterday. While we were waiting, we noticed
a market in the street. We bought nuts and nougat at a stall, then found
someone who had towels for sale. Not particularly large, but they are
light, and only cost EUR 4 each.
We lazed on the beach for a few hours. The water was quite cold (better
once you've been in for a bit), but the sun was great. Very warm. Got a
little bit sunburnt where we'd missed with the sunscreen.
Back to the hostel, and I went for a wander along the coastline in front
of Fertilia. There was a great little cave that I had to traverse the
rocks into, and take my shoes off (the soles were too wet to get a grip
from the final few rocks) to get back out, then put them on half way up
the rock so my feet didn't get cut. Exciting. We both went for a walk
along the beach - almost all the way to Alghero - before coming back to
the hostel for a gigantic dinner (pasta with pesto followed by fish and
potatoes).
