We moved from 'Yorkshire Dales' (our first room) to 'Clifford's
Tower'. The loud guys were staying another night, and we wanted to get
some sleep!
More internet at Oxfam and calls from Michelle at Select. She found a
job in Hull, but nowhere for us to live. We walked to the train station
to get timetables - first train to Hull gets in at 8:30, which is too
late for school starting time. Told Michelle this. Leeds on the other
hand is only 25 minutes by train, and there are 3 which get there
before 8am.
We walked to a very yummy pastie shop for lunch, and watched three guys
busking on marimbas and vibraphones, very cool. Kate went off to
Sainsburys and I caught the bus out to Tony's to use the internet. I
couldn't get Linux to install on the laptop from CD (it only boots from
floppy drive) and needed to download Bios updates, drivers, etc. Got
lots of software for the Palm as well, because I was getting tired of
the old games!
I finished writing the XSLT stuff for HRS and sent it off - yay for the
new laptop so I could do everything in the comfort of the TV room at
the hostel.
Our new room was much nicer, especially since we heard that the noisy
guys were noisy again :)
