Kate woke with a headache and a bad cold [writing this on the 11th, I've caught it too.. doh!] and we lazed around the room until 12! Walked around town and down to the lake, saw lots of banks! We also checked out a bunch of churches (including one with the largest clock face in Europe, and some cool stained glass windows with abstract pictures in bright colours!) One of the banks had a chocolate rhinosceros in front of it (behind security bars). It was full size! (Kate says Yum, but I think it was probably not the most edible of chocolates.. more a heat resistant type I would guess) Did shopping and then wrote heaps of postcards with the stamps I'd grabbed while we were waiting yesterday. Um, that's about it really. The hostel had nice kitchens, and we chatted to a couple of Aussie girls for ages. More about them tomorrow. |
